I put 40 miles on the Tank with the new throttle body installed. No issues at all with the install. It bolts right up and all the sensors that I swapped from the stock unit fit perfectly. It starts and idles just like it should.
All info below is just my subjective feeling. I have no data to back it up. YMMV I think that this is a really good mod! The scoot seems to accelerate much more quickly and the extra "power" means that it takes less throttle to hold a given speed. Since the engine isn't working as hard everything feels smoother. I don't know how fuel economy is effected yet but I'll let y'all know. I think the combo of throttle body/fuel injector/exhaust is a good one to wake up this motor. Was it fine stock? Absolutely! But then I broke one of the mounts for the stock muffler and decided to get an aftermarket replacement instead of having someone weld the stock steel can. This freer flowing exhaust made the bike feel lean, so I got the bigger injector. PMC says that the 32mm throttle body goes well with the injector, so I put the throttle body in. Have a good one! Cheers! Dankly |
