Thread for Paladin

Successful in Missouri on Halloween (nothing scary). New vehicles have no inspection requirements up to 150k miles in Missouri now. If it did, the Paladin has all necessary lights/horn/etcetera including DOT approved wheels and tires. But it is not on the list of vehicles that have gone through emissions certification (EPA, I guess), and some States like New Jersey or Massachussetts probably won't plate the Paladin for road use. But they will title it for you.

I did not have to buy a plate since I transfered the plate from my Templar X. I sold it recently, so got the sale amount deducted from the sale price of the Paladin, reducing the sales tax for this registration. I think the limit is 90 days, but check to be sure.

Geico added the Paladin to my existing policy (which has my KTM, and my son's Templar X), It is not recognized for online addition, but they do it over the phone. So they sent me a binder and insurance cards yesterday.

It all went smoothly and I am supposed to get a title within 10 days or so.

For those that may not already be aware, Texas is doing away with safety inspections and emissions requirements for all non-commercial vehicles starting January 2025 (unless you live in the excluded counties). I’m not in an excluded county so I plan on waiting until January 1st and not having to worry whether or not my Paladin is going to pass.
