Crying No Spark (FYM AMG f450r) Please Help

Please help!
I picked up this quad due to no spark, I've pulled everything off and traced all wires. Ignition coil tests good (1ohm), Stator test good, battery fully charged. I thought the CDI was bad so I ordered what I believed to be an interchangeable CDI (LTZ 400 CDI). When I plugged in the new CDI the entire harness started smoking
Removed the new CDI and traced all wires again, I found that someone had a ground (green) connected to a hot (blk/white stripe). I didn't understand why the harness didn't get hot with the original CDI so I plugged it back in and tested voltage before/after the CDI. The blk wire with white stripe only had about 4.7 volts coming out of the old CDI, I reinstalled the new CDI and did the same test. With the new CDI there are 12.3 volts which answers the question as to why the new CDI created smoke when the wires were connected.

I still have no spark!! I have no idea what to do next???? Do you think I fried the new CDI? Is there a way to test the wire going from the CDI to the ignition coil?

Also I searched for the exact CDI but couldn't find one, that's why I went with the LTZ400 16pin CDI. Are CDI's mapped differently based on manufactuer??

Any help is greatly appreciated!!
