the smaller rear wheel is contributing to the low gearing also. the hawk with 15/50 stock gears and 18" rear wheel is probably about the same as your ratio and the hawk would pull the front wheel up with ease with that gearing it was just right for off road trails but not the highway. i went to a 17 on front and it helped a lot now i can still trail and road also.
