this initial un-crate and assemble quality is something bad a$% for me in the chonda world. i have opened a few in my day and this one speaks high volume. i love the bike already. by pushing it around and taking pics its a lot heavier than expected, but in good way. feels like pushing a mid 70's cb350 around. good solid bike here! first start up will prolly be this weekend and first ride will most likely be monday |
Really digging the color looks like they did a good job on the paint. Really like we're they put the tack at.

Removing the fender really cleans it up.

That is a really good looking bike. I like how Lifan pushes to make original bike designs and doesn't make clones.
Will be interesting to see them grow. Could really challenge the entry bike market in the U.S. if they start getting a dealership network, better website, more marketing, etc. all set up. The biggest issue I think they'll see (we're assuming quality is not an issue) is replacement parts. I mentioned this in the Small Engine Velocity discord channel years ago, but without a way to get replacement parts, it's going to be difficult for them to compete in the U.S. I think someone from the discord channel talked to them because they shortly opened up an Amazon store. I think that helps a LOT. Next would be the availability of getting the bikes out to people and the marketing. Reason I bring this up... That KPM 200 is a GOOD looking bike. I think they're going to do well. Not much in this category if you're looking for scrambler and 300cc or less. Only bikes you can call out is the Honda CB300R, CSC SG250, SSR Buccaneer. I may be missing one or 2, but this could dominate the market. Especially for people that want something like a Ducati Scrambler, but without the HUGE price tag and engine size. Keep us updated! Interesting to see what can be done with these bikes. |
here is a good start for parts.
example. the crashbar/bumper bars. are actually $75 to ship, not the $8 in the ad. keep in mind it will take a month to get it, but good stuff here.
i ordered the crash bars already at about $150 delivered and a wait. i am debating on the axle mounted fender/plate mount too....undecided https://www.yoycart.com/Search?Searc...atId=0&catId=0 |

This bike seems to have gathered the best of old school and new school at a very affordable price.
|
love the look, but please replace that exhaust!

i dont know squat about fuel injection, so i am a bit cautious about changing exhaust and not mess up the computer efi. if engineered properly it should self adjust but no one has actually done it yet on this generation 2 motor. wish they have so i would know 100% no issues |
The ECU will adjust to the changes in the exhaust.

i am extremely cautious here on changing any intake or exhaust on fi, but i will ride it stock for a while. and this second gen motor have some sort of turbocharging on it? |
Quote:
|
some sort of turbocharging?i read this
"Another advantage about KPM-200 is the 200cc NBF GENERATION II Engine, which adopts turbocharging, crankshaft displacement, roller valve rocker arm, piston spray and other core technologies. It exerts high compression ratio of 11:1, with the max power up to 12.5kw and max torque 17n.m."
|
:hmm: I'm not sure what they are talking about but there definitely no turbocharger on your bike. But sounds real impressive. lol

.................................................. ........... i was comparing this to the cb200 specs. pretty similar comparison. you know each being 17hp and top speed 77mph.... duel carb vs efi... as you can see, i am gettin a lot of work done today.:wtf: https://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/mo...onda_cb200.htm |

HAHA! That CB200 was my first bike I owned. Same color too (Green). :D |

Awesome looking bike, by the way. What was the delivered price? |
