The Zongshen TT 250 is Coming
CSC is definitely going to import the Zongshen TT Special. The bike is currently undergoing EPA certification tests. ;)

That's good news and must mean that the RX3 has been a financial success so far. Hope to see them import a whole line of Zongshen bikes in the future.
Maybe I can order an oil pump chain when they get their parts stock in place. |
I like it, but it needs to come with a rear rack, to make it easier to install some luggage, or haul stuff (just a suggestions for while they are testing it)

Pricing is not yet confirmed right? Very nice looking bike.

I believe this bike has an actual 250cc engine. In addition, CSC has ordered the bikes with USD forks, and disc brakes on both wheels. |

It's a similar idea to the plate type cam chains but only 3 plates wide and very tiny. My guess is that most CG engines with a balance shaft use the same oil pump chain.

Have you asked Humanbeing for help?

No disrespect intended towards our good friend Joe. Even if 249cc is stamped on the cylinder, I'd still like to know the actual bore and stroke numbers. If such parts do exist, I'll be buying them on Taobao for my own CG motors.

TT
Is the TT intended to go head to head with the SSR XF-250 . . . . or are we basically talking about the same bike just different branding?

Spud did they give you a 'for sale' date or prediction?

The TT Special bikes will probably be arriving before springtime next year. :)

Ssr xf-250
The SSR XF-250 is a great looking bike but I'm told here in the people's republic of Illinois you can't get one titled and registered for street use . . . What's funny is I started out wanting a great inexpensive dual sport and while doing my research on it is how I came across the RX3. . Now I'm anxious to hear/see more on the TT.

Spud,
Did they say what the bore and stroke are, or the engine number? Quote:

X2. I'm curious to learn the actual displacement.
I wanted to be wrong. I was hoping that parts existed to make a CG-based air cooled 250. |

My guess is the Zongshen will use one of its stout, Honda-ish engines, which is not a bad thing at all! My TMEC 200 uses a Zongshen manufactured 197cc engine (167 FML engine family) , and I have well over 10,000 miles in the past 18 months of ownership with nothing but oil changes every 600 miles or once a month. I do hope that CSC take their RX3 bike into account and do not try to price the TT near that level of pricing to compete with SSR and their XF250's. |
The TT has to be below $2,000.00 or they won't sell any. Too many other choices out there well below $2,000.00. But at this point its just guessing. Heck it could be a $500.00 motorcycle, maybe CSC is getting a great deal on them. ;)

Weld, you're correct!

What else do you know for sure about the CSC's TT250 bike? :hmm: :thanks: |

Sweet! An upgraded Hawk with all the best features, Zong-made fit 'n finish, and CSC support. Around $2k should be a winner.
Wonder what sprockets they'll come with out-of-the-box. Cheers! |
This has my attention. Maybe a Zong will be in my future. I can ride gravel to work.
|
This does look really nice and the Hondanoid motors have certainly proven themselves as extremely durable. I really do hope that they don't price it up with the SSR bikes. The SSR bikes have really jumped a lot of $$$ since they were marketed as Q Links and Konkers, even for their 200cc.
|
There's some dealer on Oahu selling the SSR 250 dual sport for $3700.

Now what would make this even better is if the TT was eventually canada bound as well Eh? ok maybe not..i already have enough reading to do on the RX3...
|
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the TT offered for sale in Canada eventually.
|
You guys are supposed to get the RX3 via CSC, correct?
