Ordered a x22 from venom
Hey, long time no see, everyone! I'm still riding the vader 125cc and I have about 1500 miles on it at this point and still haven't had a hiccup. As some of you may know I've had a x22r on layaway for some time at venom but I recently had a change of heart and with the x22 125cc. I love the engine in my vader so much I just decided to go with another
Anyway, it's paid off and I should be getting shipping set up soon. I'll keep you guys up to date with whats going on. :thanks: |

I guess to be clear I mean the x22 has the same engine as the vader. I understand your confusion now. Bad wording on my part.

Can't wait to see it!

Bike shipped out today. Estimated delivery dat is the 10th. I became a bit concerned when I read on on one thread they didn’t have lift gate service. I emailed venom and they said they do and it’s included with the home delivery price.

Enjoy the Ride! |
Tools and camera are all ready!
|
most likely be to your local hub on the 10th, and expect few more days added for the home delivery setup(answer the phone).my sons x22-s black is riden everyday around town rain or shine. pushing 4k miles and still runs like a champ. the frame on them secures the engine in place very well. smooth ride! we replaced the carb and fuel lines and that's it!

it was labeled mikuni vm22. as in my other posts about these, they come with inconsistent pilot jet types and sizes. mine is unique and says made in 'jaFan'(yes with a F). i have modded nearly 10 other chondas using this carb and from the two sellers i get mystery carbs...some of the mikuni vm22's have mikuni pilot jets and some come with Keihin pilot jets....if it comes with a Keihin pilot jet#38 might as well trash it or return it if able. no seller i have asked can tell you whats inside the carb for sure...trial and error basically to get a good one like is on mine...but if you can get one that says jafan that's the one i recommend! all of them i have gotten use the mikuni main jet....i got three different needle brands too...i even tried the genuine vm22 by mikuni and these are for larger fuel lines and can get adapters but it seems to push too much fuel to the 125cc no matter the adjustment i made... carb spinner with paper gasket and mounting screws all in one kit is needed for this carb change from stock as the new intake places mikuni carb to front and will hit frame if not spun to right.... p.s. i never tried the stock carb, it may be fine not sure.... |

The bike is already at my local hub and delivery is setup for Tuesday. 😳
|
Tuesday is going to be a Great day! Let us know how it goes!
Have a great weekend! |
Yes, tuesday will be glorious!
Have a great weekend as well, kirbo! |
Had to delay shipment until Wednesday due to my work schedule but good news is it's the same company and driver that delivered my vader. So, they know what's up and will be rolling it right up the garage again.

Fun time!

Bike is mostly together just a few odds and ends left and lock Tite on some fasteners. I should have it's maiden voyage this afternoon I'm really surprised at the quality of the bike. It is much better made than the vader in some areas, especially the fairings. |
WOW! That's a sweet looking bike.
|
Looking great and can't wait to read your ride review!
|
Looks very nice .
|
I was also shocked at the size of the bike. It's just as big as the 08 ninja 250 i used to have. Curious to see what it can cruise at in stock form, after break in, of course.
|
I took the bike out for a short ride last night. It's going to take a little getting used to on my part, due to not riding a sport bike style in several years. It shifted smoothly and seems to have more than enough power for it's size. I never ringed it's neck but got it up 40 easily. This is much better than the vader in stock form. I could barely push it to 40 without getting the rpms high. So far I'm very satisfied and we will see how the bike breaks in and loosens up
|
I've put on about 400 miles so far and I have to say things are going good. The one thing that drives me nuts is there is a buzzing in the front fairing around the headlight and windscreen. I'm going to attempt to put some weather stripping around there and see if it can help. That's the only thing that has bothered me so far and the bike is running and holding together great. :thanks:

Nice looking bike, I like the green on black. Too bad the front calipers aren't the same green as the rest of the bike. Can it still be insured?

I would appreciate an update of the bike if you want to like top speed and if you have gotten a chance to ride much and if yes has the bike held up pretty well and any better than the Vader. |
