Round CSC Badge - Size
I'm wondering of someone can do me a favor and measure the size of the round CSC badges on the size of the bike for me? This would be for a 2016 RX3. Thanks a bunch.
If you are wondering why, I was thinking of putting something like the 'punisher' over them: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Punisher-Bat...KkKbPg&vxp=mtr Thanks all! |

Here are some spare Zongshen badges that I have
They fit my RX3 (2014/15) I would guess that they are the same size as your CSC badges. Measured in millimeters  Attachment 7410 Attachment 7411 Attachment 7412 |

I like the dragon, too.
But decided to put on the manufacturer's badge instead....like all my other bikes. ;) http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...psgvi8c9gs.jpg jb |
Nice, JB. Where did you get them?
Not that I want to deny Steve & CSC their due credit for bringing out beloved RX3's in to the USA, let alone getting them Kalifornia certified! |

Spud pointed the way to the Zongshen badges on Taobao. With the assistance of Spud's tutorial on using Taobao, and a weekend of time (I'm a slow learner), I was able to configure my browser to translate Chinese into English, set up a Taobao agent account, place an order, and transfer funds via PayPal. I think I would need to relearn the whole process over again if I were to order again. AliExpress is easier to order from, but was unable to find the badges there. jb |
jbfla...forgive my memory but have we seen a pic of this blue? that's the rx3 right? thats custom paint color right? (or was that a 2015 color) looks super from what i can see of it. i know the yellow strip and graphic are custom.

No custom paint color. It was taken at dusk in the shadow of my back porch. The bike is the standard '15 orange and gray....as seen in full daylight. http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...ps2zu4jfq5.png jb |
OK, somebody put in an order for a bunch of the Zong badges. I'll take two.

No promises.
I need to return to FL this weekend. All the Taobao bookmarks/passwords are on my desktop there. If someone beats me to it, please let me know....hate to waste what little brain power I have left. :hmm: jb |
jb...I'm counting on you. You da man what gets the neat badges! I'm all over that. I'll even take that wonky BMW badge off my bike and replace it with your contribution to the Cult of Zong.
Your pal, Peter Y. |

I just re-read Spud's tutorial, and it is more involved than I remembered. I'll give it a try. I owe you a favor. As I recall, the whole process can take a few weeks. jb |
Update:
I had some time to go to a wi-fi connection and mess around on my laptop. Configured the Chrome browser for Chinese. Found the Taobao and TaobaoTrends websites. Was able to retrieve my account info. Located only 1 vendor for the Zongshen badges. It's about 4.50 for a pair, depending on the exchange rate at the time. Then there's the agent fee, plus the shipping charge to the US, which may be as much as the badges. Looks like it will be about $10 US to get a pair, won't know for sure until: an order is placed, the agent is paid, agent orders from vendor agent receives order from vendor agent verifies that order is what the customer wants, agent repackages order and notifies customer of shipping charges to US customer pays agent the shipping charges agent ships package to customer in 10-14 days, if all goes well, customer receives package. To add the the fun, Oct 1 - Oct 7 is the national Chinese Holiday week. From what I was able to discern, nothing much businesswise happens during that time. jb |
price sounds reasonable
|
I'm in for a pair!
|
I'm good for two
gary |
up my bid to 2 pair. Turns out my buddy in Ohio wants some too.
|
So here's the deal.
This is a one time nonprofit public service on my part. Someone else will need to take over if more are desired. I ordered 10 pair. Because of the Chinese national holiday, nothing will happen until after Oct 7. This may be a 3 to 4 week process. No $ to change hands until the product is in hand, ready to send out. I won't know the final cost until the agent notifies me of shipping charges to the US. And when I find out what it will cost me to send them out. If you change your mind, that's OK If you are unsatisfied with the product, send them back, on your dime, and I will refund your payment. One more thing: If this sort of activity is against the ChinaRider's Forum rules (I don't know), the whole thing is off. Don't clutter the thread with unnecessary posts....like the popcorn eating imogee. I will update the thread when there is anything to report. jb |
jb, thanks for rising to the occasion. Let me know how much I owe you and I'll send it by PayPal. In fact, I'll offer to pick up the slack for any badges that go unsold. You are my hero.

I'm in for a pair

Apologies to fjmartin for hijacking his thread.
Peter, it's OK with me if I don't sell them all...I'll save them for the RX3 National Rally in 2018 in Sturgis, ND. jb |
The list:
pyoung...... 2 pair Koburn........? can't tell from your comment whether or not you want a pair. GSC............1 pair Call me D....1 pair fjmartin.......1 pair Jay..............1 pair tinman tim...1 pair |
I'll accept your apology on hijacking the thread if I can get in on an pair of them also?!? Please, please, pretty please!!! I can PayPal you or whatever means works for ya.
|
I received an email from the Agent (TaobaoTrends), who has been in contact with the vendor.
The Zongshen badges are not available (even though the vendor site showed 50 available). The email stated the the Zonshen badges were the "old" style, and they don't know when, or if, they will be available again. I can substitute the Dragon bagdes that Katflap showed in post #7 of this thread, or cancel the order. Any interest? jb |
I like the dragon badge so I would vote to get those!
|
No voting necessary, just let me know if you want the Dragon Badge:
DragonBadge list: fjmartin GSC Jay (2 pair) tinman tim Call me D Huck Maui Mikey PeterY (2 pair) |
not my 1st choice.
But I'm down for it. Thanks jb for your trouble. gary |
Asum Dragon
Yes! Dragon me, please.

I have asked the agent if they could locate another vendor, but not holding out much hope. jb |
Bi-polar bike.
I actually like both.
I will go along with whatever you choose, JB. If you happen to swing both ways (?) I will commit to one pair of each. |
Dragon please.
|
The agent emailed me today and said that they found one other vendor, but they were also out of stock.
I asked them to order the dragon badges. Current list: http://www.chinariders.net/showpost....9&postcount=32 jb |
That's awesome and thank you...again, let me know if you do paypal or I can send you a check or whatever works for you. This will be very cool and I like the dragon a LOT!

Don't know if all users of PayPal are aware that the seller pays a 2.9% + 30 cents fee for each transaction. Buyers pay no fee. You can claim the transaction is a gift, and pay no fee, but if you abuse this, you may forfeit your ability to use PayPal. No $ to be exchanged until the badges are in hand.....still lots of opportunity for things to go wrong...... :) I will try to make it as painless as possible for the buyers. jb |
