Been a few days. Package from motocheez showed up WITHOUT THE SPOKES! So I don't did not get the bike done in time to take it on my rrip. With Christmas the last couple days, the second package hasn't even em sho pipes yet and he sent it on the 23rd. I may be selling it soon to buy something bigger and more street friendly anyway.

Got the bike fixed, rode it to a buddy's house and decided to sell it and move on to something bigger. I love the hawk but it's way to small if a bike for me. I don't have anywhere for off-roading so a street bike is a better fit anyways.
Any idea what you guys think it might be worth? It has 3200 miles, okayish paint job, 17/45 sprockets and a new jt chain. Fresh oil change, digital cluster, brand new battery tender lithium ion phosphate battery, mar shift lever, newish plug. Everything has less than 60 miles on it. I already have the ad up with an obo price, just curious what I can expect out of it. |

95, the aftermarket on these bikes is really hit and miss. There was someone who just picked one up brand new for $985. It was a New Years Special at one of the online retailers. If you live in a state that will register them, that helps your value out quite a bit, and even more if you're in/near a college town. I would say that somewhere in the $1,200 neighborhood would be pretty close to the mark. I haven't seen the bike, so that's a blind guess. The correct answer to your question is "It's worth whatever someone will give you for it..." Keep us posted on how the sale goes. Happy New Year!

I usually give people that same advice lol, "whatever someone will pay". With these Hawk's, it's a little different. Not many used out there (in my area anyways). I live in Texas, I live about 20 minutes from a college campus and there are 3 dealers who sell chinese powersports in the area. I'd say I'm set on all of those fronts. I put an extremely high obo price because I want people to give me offers. I'll definitely let you guys know. Here's the bike...

Better?

Much. I love how you still have the bungee cord on the kick stand.

Adds character lol

Okay, I'm leaning more towards keeping the bike... for now anyways.
I finally managed to run all of the gas out of the tank so I figured I'd try to figure out the fuel float issue. I checked voltage of the battery (12.5V) and the connector for the gas tank on the bike side of the connector (4.76V). Is that reading normal for the connector? If it's right, the float itself must be bad. |
