Interesting thread..... I like to see what's going on with any vehicles I have so think I'll be making up a lead to see if I can connect to the OBD port, got an assortment of diagnostic software and adapters so see what I can do. If I have any luck I will share the results on this forum :-)

That would be terrific!

Honestly, the skill set of our members is amazing.

Right I'm going to spend the day looking into making an OBD connector for this bike, see on the wiring diagram there is 6 wires to the diagnostics port, both K-line and canbus connections..... I will try the K-line first (easiest) and see if my diagnostic gear picks up anything then look into the canbus connection ... I see there is a note on Delphi's pinout diagram for the ECU that canbus is used for ECM development only so maybe caution needed, wouldn't want to disable my bike .....

I'm pretty someone (Spud, perhaps?) found an OBDII adapter for the Delphi connector. Perhaps that would take some risk out.

Post #33 of this thread should provide the information you need. The Delphi connector employs only three wires, one of which is the K line. ;)

Diagnostics

2 Attachment(s)
Made up a lead, connected to the port and nothing, no data being picked up from the K Line on my bike :-( Will have to try the canbus connections next, I've included a pic of the port pinout. I'm wondering if pin 5 is equivalent to a L line connection needed to 'wake up' the K Line communications? Any thoughts? Attached pic of the OBD adapter lead I've made, probes for 12+, ground and K-Line.

Look what I've found on good old ebay,,,,I wonder if it's worth a try: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KAWASAKI-6...item2594f846cf

Not a bad price, if it will do what you need.

btw harley MT05 differents from all chineese

Mt05 and mt05.2 using all around has K-line to communicate
Harley MT05 - using CAN

so any tools for harley will not work

Thank you for posting that good information. :)

I have found a USB connector that looks like it might connect a laptop running the PCHUD software to the Delphi Mt05 diagnosis plug.

(I haven't checked the plug but it looks about right)

http://detail.1688.com/offer/4223376...0.0.0.0.ubmz58

(reference to RX3 in description)

and here I think is the same item on Taobao

http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=...ucket=2#detail

the description suggests it might come with software.

Its a long shot but you never know it might just work ;)

Thanks for posting the link, Kat. You are quickly becoming a Taobao Guru. ;)
