I have been looking at parts, not that I need any but this model made by Linhai goes by several different names if your looking for parts.
Big Buck & Big Horn 300,their just different names for identical atv's.
So far I have not had any trouble's with it.A couple of weeks ago I was riding around and kept hearing this rattling sound,so I would stop and it would quit,I thought all crap here we go,somethings going wrong with it and I can't fix it,turned out it was the winch hook rattling at certain times when you was moving cause it wasn't cinched up tight.I still haven't got the synthetic rope on my winch yet.I remember the other atv,the Bull is only 2wheel drive & wouldn't go very good in the snow, not this thing,I pulled a trailer loaded with wood up a hill in 4 inches of snow a few weeks ago,no problem. So far so good with this brand,I hate that it is made in China but so is everything else now-a-days.

Update on Linhai 300

Hey how has it been holding up? I just pulled the trigger on one yesterday from txpowersports well. Ive been doing alot of research and everywhere i look most of the massimo 400 are sold out and the 450 starts at 6k from tractor supply which is why i decided to go with the 300 on sale for 3929. They have another option for a new fuel injected version starting at 4399 that i was debating i just couldn’t find any specs on the efi i think im going to call and ask about it. Also they have one massimo 400 thats a display model with 46 hours on it i was thinking about i just dont know how it has been riden and treated it says it was manufactured in 2020 so it has been sitting for a little while it looks clean tho let me know what you think, its priced at 4185 without shipping

So far all has been good until yesterday.I went to start it and the starter just spun so I'm assuming the starter clutch has gone out on it.

I got the carbureted one,I seen the one with the EFI for a little more money & I just thought that maybe I could work on the carbureted one better instead of the efi.The efi probably runs better,I just don't know.

I'd buy that Massimo 400,it has independent suspension front & back.Probably just rode around the parking lot letting people try it out. That's about the amount of hours on mine, that I've put on it in 8 months.

I love my Vitacci 300cc 4x4 atv,I love this thing. This thing will go places you wouldn't believe or be scared to go.I'd buy it again in a heartbeat knowing what I know now.I wish they would have had that Massimo demonstrator model,I would have bought it.I seriously thought about buying that Massimo 400,still might. They got one at my local Tractor Supply with a $5999 price tag on it.

I had a big black walnut tree blow down probably 1 years ago,I finally decided to cut it up & drag it to a burn pile. It's probably 18" to 24" in diameter and I cut it up into 5 or 6 foot pieces and used the Vitacci 300 to pull it up a steep hill to a burn pile.Had to put it in 4x4 or it couldn't pull it up the steep hill. The Bull 200 would have trouble pulling a piece on level ground let alone up a steep incline.6 foot piece & I could barely stand it up to flip it into the burn pile.If not for the 4x4 atv I would have had to cut it up into 3 foot pieces just to pull it with the bull up the hill.Probably not going to work the Vitacci that hard again,if I could have got the tractor down by the creek I would have just used that but couldn't get it down into the creek & get back out.

I got to looking just checking things out & seen that I was missing two 20331 washers & two 10191 bolts that hold my skid plate on under the motor. Those washers are kind of pricey if you buy genuine Linhai at about $5 a piece. The screws are hex head M6-1.0 x 18 bolts you can buy anywhere.I went to Amazon & saw these for $8.99 & bought them.

https://www.partsboss.com/ATV400_RearFlares.jpgNumber 7 & 8 in diagram,total number is 8 washers & 8 screws,the kit I bought from Amazon is a set of 10 for $8.99,I thought that was a good price.

Even though the bolts screw into a nut welded to the bottom of the frame,I might have enough screw threads left to screw on a lock-nut.Definitely going to go with a blue, maybe even a red Loc-tite.

I got my set of skid plate washers & bolts,20 washers & 10 bolts for $9.53.That's a good deal when genuine are $5 for just the washer. It was a set of 20 washer & 10 bolts,I thought it was just 10 washers.I'm going to go & take all the remaining bolts & washers loose & Loc-tite all of them but if I ever lose another,I'm set.

dugndeep 06-11-2024 10:58 AM

And instead of 8 on the atv,4 on each side, there's also 1 in the middle in the back so that makes a total of 9 altogether.Plus the bolt matches the original perfectly, same length plus same head size,8mm.

I went to loc-tite the rest of the bolts holding the skid plate washers & didn't like how some of the nuts welded to the frame didn't exactly line up with the holes in the skid plate which in turn allowed the washer to set cock-eyed & catch hold of grass & what-not.So to remedy that I got the drill & a unibit & either drilled the hole in the washer slightly larger or drilled it off center so the dimple of the washer would sit flat in the hole in the skid plate. The last photo is the finished product with all the washer flat up against the skid plate.

more pics...4th pic is before I drilled out the center a little so the dimple of the washer would sit up inside the hole on the skid plate.

Before & after difference....looks better too with the dimple of the washer flush with the skid plate plus hopefully doesn't catch grass no more.
