Thanks, photos should work, I don't know when I'll get to it, maybe Sunday I'll take some... Thanks.

Just let me know when you want the fender and throttle and I can drop them off.

Jim 12-08-2010 01:20 AM

Derryk, this looks like what I need, I sent the guy an email. http://abbotsford.en.craigslist.ca/mcy/2101137409.html

Awesome price! BTW, that setup was "inspired" by a small Yamaha, IIRC. When you make contact with him, please ask if he has switches, etc as well. His ad says levers, plural.

Jim 12-08-2010 02:08 AM

I think he's counting the thumb throttle lever and the brake lever, but I'll ask if he gives me a call back tomorrow or emails me. Hope I can get this, it was on the Abbotsford craigslist so I shouldn't have as much competition.

Jim 12-08-2010 10:53 PM

I went and picked it up today should work good. I'll probably put it on friday. He also had some brake parts he gave me, he said he was going to throw them out if I didn't want them, I'll see if they're the ones for the beast. No switches though.

Weldangrind 12-09-2010 02:46 AM

You really lucked out with that one. Is it in nice shape?

Jim 12-09-2010 07:52 AM

Yeah it looks good. :)

Weldangrind 12-09-2010 11:54 AM

Do you still need the throttle, or does that assembly include a throttle? I have the mini atv throttle here, and it's decent quality.

Jim 12-09-2010 08:21 PM

This one includes the throttle, thanks :) I think it is the same as the stock setup maybe?

Weldangrind 12-10-2010 11:43 AM

Quite likely the same, I've just never examined it to see if the brake lever was separate from the throttle.

Any more progress on your Beast?

Jim 12-10-2010 01:21 PM

No not yet, I was working the last few days and didn't have time to get over to my parents place... I have the day off today so I'll probably head over ina while. I haven't gotten the left over pieces from the previous owner yet though...

Jim 12-10-2010 11:21 PM

I put the new throttle / brake perch and so on today. It is like new, but I'm missing one piece. Theres a piece that holds the cable from going into the throttle housing thing-a-majigger. So right now if I push the throttle on the cable pulls in, I think I can work something out with washers...

Jim 12-12-2010 07:30 PM

Where is the rear brake fluid reservoir mounted? Mine was taped to the frame, I want to bolt it back on properly... Thanks :)

Weldangrind 12-13-2010 11:54 AM

On the rear left side of the frame (rider's perspective). It is behind the battery box and opposite from the muffler. Do you need a pic?

Jim 12-13-2010 08:40 PM

If you get a chance, no rush on that though. There was a couple spots it almost fit...

I spent some money. Sven99neo on ebay I think works for gio, it looks like it anyways... But his gio parts are a little cheaper. I ordered a head light and a seat. The light was $11(us) and the seat was $18. Plus shipping... I forgot about the exchange, though it's almost on par so it shouldn't be much but it seems to be coming out to about $66 CDN... The combined shipping is not giving me the right price though I don't think.

(I payed in US funds and paypal(my parents paypal) gave me a better deal, $62 after shipping and tax)
