As always, thanks for your feedback, Weld. :)

The Delphi, MT05 diagnostic plug only employs three wires, as shown in the Delphi service manual.

http://i442.photobucket.com/albums/q...ps1ccb9893.jpg

The OBD2 code specifies the following wiring, as shown at the link below.

Pins 4&5: Ground
Pins 7&8: K-Line
Pin 16: +12V Battery

I might as well convert the RX3, 6-pin Delphi connectors to 3-pin Delphi connectors, which I can get from eBay. ;)

I am inclined to purchase the following adapter, and wire the correct OBD2 pins to the corresponding Delphi pins, using one of the 3-pin Delphi connectors.

I can then connect this OBD2 adapter harness to any OBD2 scanner, such as the inexpensive, OBD2 scanner shown in the link below. :)

That is certainly an economical way to go. After you've adapted the harness and purchased the connector, perhaps you could borrow a higher quality scanner from Andy to see what other features might be useful.

You might also choose to buy an OBDII connector that will plug into a laptop, which could allow for custom fuel mapping, etc.

Thank you, Weld. :) If enough space is available, I will probably keep the OBD2 adapter harness stored under the pillion saddle.

Dobeck

Looks very promising. Copy of their reply.

Thank you for your interest in a Dobeck Performance fuel solution.

It is very possible for us to develop a fuel solution.
We would either need one of these bikes available to test with or some specific tech information to see if we have a solution available.

I have informed R&D about your interest. I will contact you with an update as soon as I hear back from them.

Will you have one of these bikes?
Where are you located?

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for posting the update, Mark. :) How long do they need the bike for testing?

Weldangrind 10-10-2014 01:00 AM

So cool! I'd happily give up my bike for awhile to allow for tuning development.

I'll follow up with them and find out how long they need it.

The folks at Dolbek are very responsive and seem interested in our Chinese thumper.
Here is there latest reply.

"Mark,

In a perfect world, we could finalize an application in about a week.

However, we usually have multiple projects going on at once.
Two weeks is probably a more accurate statement and that is if we don’t have any technical hurdles.

Will you have this bike available once it is released into the USA?
Where are you located at?

Talk to you soon."

Two weeks is a long time. ;) Does the lender get a free EJK Fuel Controller?

As I speculated in post #14 of this thread, the following OBD2 to USB cable should connect the Delphi MT05 ECM to a computer. :)

That would be a good point of negotiation. Even half price would be nice.

I don't know of any adapter cable which will connect the Delphi plug to an OBD2 scan tool. Therefore, I am going to make one, using the parts I mentioned in post #33 of this thread.
