Up here in rochester (about 7 hrs from the nyc/nj metro area) they call em yerohz, so no issue there...LOL and agreed... call it a giero in chitown and the greeks will mob you.... my sister in law is greek is greek LOL

Side note, out here in rochester i had one waitress actually commend me for "actually knowing how to say gyro" :lmao:

Motorcycle cover for 2022 Zuma Templar X 250, ignore the rating it is marketing. This is the lower ply version with 2 year warranty as I will only need to use it for a year at most. The upsell is to their marketing made up 5 star version with 10 year warranty and nearly 3 times as many plys.

Use the discount code VIN10 for 10% off. So $36 all up with free shipping.

Link didn't work at all for me. Hit the website manually and there were so many "chat" and "sales person " popups I gave up and left.

2012 Toyota Tundra TRD Rock Crusher Edition.

J/k ...... It was being bought by someone else when I got there.

New finishing nail gun. My 35+ year old HF gun finally gave out after all these years. I think i paid $18 for it back then. It's probably driven hundreds of thousands of nails over all those years. Got a new one for $22 and some change on clearance from HF.

Lunch for myself after class at the Genoa, IL McDonald's. Then I hauled a medium Coke home 30 miles in the Ural trunk to Mrs.C. Didn't spill a drop.

It seemed appropriate for the Hawk.

Got this last week for my old buddy Willy J. He was a hit at the store that evening.

As I'm always looking for ways to make coffee when camping on a bicycle or motorcycle, I bought this Vietnamese pour through coffee thingy and a bag of Vietnamese coffee a couple weeks ago.

I broke it out today to give it a whirl. First impressions...why is my spoon standing up?... this is disgusting, even with milk and sugar...I may never sleep again. This ain't gonna replace the 5 cup percolator on the old Optimus 8R campstove any time soon.

The caffeine jolt may be why I went out to the garage and dismantled the old mircowave oven that went BZZZZZTTT a few months ago. I found out why it went BZZZZTTT.

I haven't had a caffeine headache like this since I chugged two espressos with breakfast the last time I was in France.

I like my French press. My wife got it for me about 6 years ago. I use it every time I camp. My stainless Stanley cook pot (also from my wife) holds the perfect amount of water for the press and has 2 nesting tumblers to drink from with a guest. I use with a rocket stove the size of a pack of smokes. And a fuel can the size of a small can of nuts.

I have every intention of riding my Hawk to scenic places and brewing myself some coffee to relax and take it all in.

I keep a small French press in our camper and I use it. Mrs.C is a tea drinker, so as the kettle is already steaming...
I always go back to that little beat up 5 cup percolator, though, when I'm going solo.

Folgers crystals. It may suck but for a couple days out, it's easy and it works. One can always find a decent cup of coffee on the road between the instant.
I know....this takes all the adventure out of camping.

Motorcycle cover arrived, fits the Templar X 250 nice even the the handlebar turned full lock.

EDIT: Just a quick addendum, I have been using this this week at work, bike is outside in the elements. Very windy today and the cover was still on and there when I got off my shift. I used the steel cable and included luggage lock.

I just rushed it on, didn't pull it over the mirrors properly yet.

You get a simple luggage lock and cable to secure the cover against the wind when the bike is outside. Nothing fancy here.

All in all good buy for something I need for a year.
