I am back again! I bought a 2019 CSC TT250 with 49 miles on it from a member here. Once I cleaned the carb and changed the battery it runs good.

Two motorcycles.

Red 1969 Honda CT90 and orange 1972. OG adventure bikes! Between them, they have about 4300 miles on them total. Comes with three manuals, one being an original Honda CT90 etc. manual. Orange one has the spare gas tank. He is looking for the mount, and the right side covers for both bikes. Also two spare tires. Not currently running, but did three years ago when stored. These are easy to get going again.

Yeah, a nice old guy, 84 YO. Gave him what he was asking, $2200. Very reasonable for the condition. The spare gas tank alone is worth about $400! Crazy.

I will pick them up later. Gave him a down payment and got a written agreement until we can arrange a pickup date. (Need to borrow a trailer.)

Bought new primary and secondary catalytic converters for the $500 (that really isn't anywhere near $500 anymore) Nissan XTerra. This should be the last thing for the check engine light. Just need to make sure that the head gasket sealer stuff is still working so I don't wreck a brand new set of cats. Everything should be here by Friday and I'll work on it over the weekend.

Jay's Potato Chips and glucose meter pokies. Need one because of the other.

Well, yesterday. Another year of insurance on the DeSoto and a surprise late dental bill(Kind of pissed at that one). $740 total. Sheesh!

Emerikol 11-08-2022 05:07 PM

A starter for... You guessed it... The $500 Nissan Xterra. At this rate, I would have been better off just buying a new car... :ohno:

More chit for Mrs. 2LZ home office. Like Emerikol's Xterra, it may have been cheaper just to rent her an office space.

A new valve plate for my not-that-old Dewalt air compressor. I bought the compressor three or four years ago (when we moved into the new house in Phoenix), and it gave up the ghost a couple days ago. It's amazing how much racket a small piece of spring steel makes when it's banging around inside the intake housing. Luckily, it was on the top side of the plate and didn't damage the cylinders. A chunk of aluminum with a couple spring steel reed valves was $84 after tax, tag, and title! Not happy about having to drop that kind of coin on a three or four year old compressor. >:(

A pair of LL Bean Maine hunting boots. I’m tired of the wet feet I get when walking Buster dog through the woods in the morning. We met our oldest and her family outside of the Bean outlet in Freeport, ME yesterday. I wandered in and found a pair on clearance for $69.

New modular helmet and boots. I'm supposed to have a full face helmet in my storage unit but I could not find the dang thing.
