Good work, BB. I think that's the first time I have heard of a cracked piston ring. :wtf:

You can certainly get piston rings from Taobao. In fact, a new piston is probably quite inexpensive, as well. :)

i ordered a new piston, rings, and a complete gasket set off ebay for a grand total of $32 :hehe::hehe:

That's one of the many things I love about Chinese motorcycles! Please post a link to that deal.

Last year I had a Yamaha rocker arm go bad in my XT200 cylinder head. Therefore, I decided to replace the entire valve train. I got a new camshaft for $10, a pair of rockers for $6, and a cam chain for $12, all from Taobao.

Oops! :hehe: I fixed the link in my original post. ;) No, that's not the compression tester I own. Here's the link to the compression tester I use on my bikes; it has the proper adapter for the Zong. :)

Thanks, Spud. The HF search function doesn't always find what I'm after. I already have a compression tester, but it lacks the small pulg sizes I need for bikes. I guess I'll have to drop in to HF. :D

Thanks for the link, HB. I might just buy a couple of pistons on spec at that price.
