I'd say way better than the beast, now that X-motos is building the bikes for GIO the quality is much better, but my Beast, compared to my 50cc ATV and 110cc T1 ATV, the beast was the worst and needed the most work to get it up to par.

Thank you, I was curious if they had picked up the build quality. I like the looks of them... The one with bigger tires looks like a good deal as well.

OK; I realize I am entering this thread very late! :lol: Nevertheless, the Gio X31 looks like a superb value! If I could get one in Idaho, I would jump at the chance. :D

Yup, they look pretty well made, I wonder how the sizing is though? They have the X31 with 19 and 16 inch tires, and the X35 with more standard 18 and 21 inch tires... Is the only real difference between the two the tires? I'm still thinking of one for trail riding... Should have never sold my Konker! I haven't really looked too much, is it easy to get 19/16" knobbies or are they hard to find?

The knobby tire selection is very good for these tire sizes, Stew. :) What do you think Gio would charge to ship this bike to Idaho?

spud sorry dude but they cant get bikes and quads through customs.. it will get caught at the border and shipped back to gio..

now a way around that is to go into canada and find a place that will let you ship the bike to, then load it up and bring it back your self..

Spud has some friends in Canada we'd be happy to do it for him, however he'd have to bring up a fully registered Zong as a swap for the trouble. :)

if i could pull that off id pick up one of those bikes too.. but i think factoring in the gas from tx to canada, then the price of the bike. i could find a honda or yamaha dirtbike down here in decent condition..

thats my plan, im going to learn bikes on a dirtbike in a grassy feild before moving up to a crotch rocket..

I am sorry to report the supply of Zongshen 200GY-2 motorcycles is just about depleted in the United States of America. :( I don't know why Zongshen has decided to discontinue importation of these bikes into the United States. :roll:

The late, beloved Phil Hall reported the 200GY-2 bike was going to be replaced by the 150cc, Zongshen Fly motorcycle. :?

Yeah it's a bummer... we could never even get them here unfortunately. Maybe Yamaha squashed it for being too close to their bike.

well spud if you do have a "buddy" order the bike and shipped to their house and you take a road trip to pick it up.. get it nice and dirty and bring it back dirty. so that way it does not look brand spankin new. if you get checked at the border, all you got to say is you went to visit friends and your friend sold it to you while you where there cuz he got a new yamaha..

but i doubt border patrol would say anyhthing about the bike

10.5 hour drive, that would long of a drive would call for a camping/riding retreat for a few days..

I might bite the bullet and get one yet. Still trying to decide on which one though, leaning towards the X35 with the standard tire sizes but it's quite a bit more money than the X31 in the auctions. It also is not auctioned as often as the X31. I know Wayne has the X31, wonder how he likes it for height and would have he rather bought the X35?

IIRC, he reported a 34" seat height.
