All other points aside - anyone else think this bike from the front has a kind of Optimus Prime kinda look? I'm naming mine Optimus. Even that little wingy zongshen symbol looks like transformer hieroglyphics

I'm just imagining the first time a 1200gs tries to blast pass me and the Cyclone morphs into a Beemer beating cyborg. :yay:

Welcome Moto.
This is the definitive site for all things "Zong". I envy you getting to go to the open house. Please take lots of pix and vids if possible. Look forward to your up close and personal with the RX3.

Welcome!

I could never get away with naming a bike after a Transformer. I've been called Outtamy Prime, a Decrepticon. :hehe: ...

:lmao:

Wolftrax and Motomapper,

As the founder, and self-appointed President of The Cult of The Zong, I recognize both of you are true Zongites. Resistance was futile. You have been assimilated. ;)

The TU250X counter shaft sprocket is available from 12T-16T.

Examining the counter shaft area of the engine, it appears there will be sufficient room for at least a 15T, and perhaps a 16T C/S sprocket. :)

One might need to remove the plastic sprocket guard, but I don't consider that a problem. ;)

The rear sprockets are available from 38T-52T. Therefore, one shouldn't have any problems gearing the RX3 to his liking, even if he converts to a larger rear wheel. :)

The Cult of The Zong is a long running joke here at China Riders. ;) Until now, at least, everyone has considered cult membership an honor. :hehe:

Here's the video posted by Joe at the CSC blog, and on a thread at ADVRider. ;)

I hadn't noticed until this latest video, that the front rim is only 18". That doesn't change how I feel about the bike, but it was a surprise. With Spud's idea of converting the rear to 18", I think it will have a good look and terrific tire selection.

SpudRider 09-23-2014 02:52 AM

Yes, Zongshen is continuing the 'tradition' of the ZS200GY-2 with the 15-inch rear wheel, and the 18-inch front wheel. :hmm:
