Parts For DF250RTB And Others
Found this site for parts for the DF and others. Don't know how reliable they are but worth a try.
http://parts.powersportsbest.com/index.php/ Adjusting and lubing the chain on mine. She is still running just fine. Knock on wood. |
I really want to get one of these but can seem to find a "reliable" vendor. Everyone seems to have below 2 stars on every website from google, to yelp, and BBB. Are there any recommendations on places to buy/order from?
Thanks for your time! |

Those guys have 1 star out of 14 reviews on yelp.
and about 274 one stars on Site-jabber. Not a good sign when you're trying to buy something sight unseen. More reputable sellers like venom motorsports or CSC would be welcomed, but they dont carry Dong Fang. Best I could find was Belmonte motorcycles. They offered me a vin to check with my local DMV for registration requirements. Guess we'll see |

I had a good experience buying my monkey hack from safer wholesale. Maybe I was just lucky.
|
Too bad but both Ebay and Amazon are out of stock on the DF250RTB!
|
That is one sweet monkey bike! How did you come up with those Ammo boxes on the back of the DF250RTB? Looks great!
Thinking of ordering mine in flat "OD-ish" green I'd love to know more about your experience with the bike in the miles you've owned it. |
Here is a super long thread on the DF250RTB. Probably want to start at the back.
http://www.mychinamoto.com/forums/sh...er-Information There is a new guy there that has one of the army green ones. I built a rack out of some of the angle iron from the crate the bike came in for mounting the ammo cans. |
Welp, Thats that. Ordered my DF250.
That thread is a wealth of information. greatly appreciated. Thinking of vlogging my experience with the bike each month or so, maybe throw an amateur review in there since nobody seems to have any decent in depth you-tube exposure for the bike. (something I cherish when shopping) |
mm,
And where did you order it from? The place where I ordered my 2010 and 2012 DFs are out of stock. |

Perfect riding today here in the mountains.

I ordered mine from a "canadian" supplier called Belmonte Bikes.
Oddly enough when my bike shipped yesterday it started in California. Gorgeous bikes!, cant wait to get mine in. Lookin like the 15th or so. That forumn you linked is like the mines of Moria. 600+ pages. Cant believe my eyes lol Any suggestion for "absolutely must" modifications to the bike? And you used the metal crate for the mounting bracket?! Clever. I'm guessing you bolted the metal strips through the top of the mud guard and/or the side of the mudguard to the ammo cans. Simple draw and drill. Hope I can emulate it close enough to look as good. |
I think all the DFs gets shipped from the same warehouse in CA. Most of these internet sellers of Chinese bikes don't stock them. I looked at the site you ordered from https://www.belmontebikes.com/collec...eet-legal-bike
Let us know how it works out. My two DFs came with a 45 tooth rear sprocket which makes the bike geared way too low. Don't know about the sprockets on your 2016 DF. Assuming your DF comes with the same engine then you cannot add a larger front sprocket so I went with a 35 tooth rear available at https://www.amazon.com/1974-1976-Hon...ords=jtr279.35 This is assuming that your 2016 bike's rear sprocket is the same as my 2012. Some went with a 30 tooth rear sprocket. I think you should ask your questions at http://www.mychinamoto.com/forums/sh...er-Information as it is more active than this thread. |
mm,
Where are you located? These bikes cannot be registered in several states. NJ for one. |
