Little update! The rain has finally stopped here and looks like it will be nice for the next few weeks. I've put some miles on her over the weekend and have taking it to work everyday. The new rear shock has made a big improvement in the ride on rough roads for sure. I don't have to worry about bracing myself on the big bumps. Inexpensive shock was well worth the few dollars that's for sure. I don't know how long it will last but for under $45 it wouldn't bother me if i had to replace it every year. I would still be way ahead vs paying $300-$700 overpriced shock that might not even ride as good. One of the guys on the Vulcan forum has tried those expensive shocks and said this cheap shock rides much better. With all this beautiful cool weather I think I'll be racking up some makeup miles. :D

The Vulcan S has been an awesome bike. Here's a little review and upgrades.

The color combo of the bike is really growing on me, I see you made your moniker to match! Awesome

Thanks. The Cerakote really makes the colors pop. CERAKOTE Rapid Ceramic Paint... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B94G13CN...p_mob_ap_share

I just got back from putting a few hundred miles on her. She really handles the interstate well.

Well I passed the 5000 mile mark on the KVS. Almost time for a new rear tire. I never realize how far over I lean the bike in the curves. This has to be the most fun street bike I ever owned. It may look like a cruise but definitely handles like a sports bike. I've actually had some decent weather over the weekend and was able to take all the bikes of for a ride.

Weather was beautiful yesterday. Sunny and warm. I put about 200 miles on the KVS.

I drove the Jeep 600 miles for a job I'm supposed to be retired from. Your way looks better.

Retirement? what's that? I've heard that phrase before but have no clue. lol
Riding anything is better than driving to work. lol I also put about 40 miles on the KPX250 too. We have off for Mardi Gras here. I took advantage of the nice weather while i can.

The job was to check a potential safety issue and took about an hour. I opted to drive back home rather than spending the night along the way and driving back home in today's' forecast ice storm.

If retirement ever happens, I'll let you know how it goes.

It goes like this. You still get up every day and work. You just don't get paid for it anymore. At least you'll be doing work that makes Mrs. C happy. If there's a wedge of time in the day after that, you're fortunate enough to spend time on YOUR work you've been wanting to do for decades.
