Thanks. Being brand new to bikes, do you think of the capacity is that high, as long as suspension is set up for any weight under that, that performance shouldn't be that negatively affected?

The rear shock is adjustable. I weigh about 175 lbs. It seems to be set perfect for my weight from the factory. There's plenty of adjustable room to raise or lower for weight of rider.

I am tentatively identifying this as possibly the front sprocket: JTF327. On the JT Sprockets website, it is for 2003 - 2019 Honda CRF230s. It's on Amazon too. Of course the rear sprocket recommendations might not be relevant, even if the front one is.

It will more than likely be the JTF270 but I'll verify first. I don't want the wrong information out there.

I installed the Bark Busters tonight. I wanted to make an installation video but was pouring down rain. There wasn't enough room to shoot a good video. I figured I'd at least make a walk around after the install. The handle bars had barend weights screwed into the ends I had to remove. Those suckers were loctite in pretty good. Had to use my impact to remove them.

I'm thinking about adding some white to the Bark Busters. Maybe some kind of decal.

How about Jerry on the right bark buster and Hawk on the left with 250 on the headlight fairing  :lmao:

4T_Goblin 07-22-2022 01:10 PM

That would look good Jerry. Especially if you got something that said "4T_goblin is my hero" , that would look the coolest.

I wish that the panels were green with white stickers. The only reason I'm considering taking the stickers off is because they are not under the clear coat and some of them were a little damaged in shipping.

Whatever you do, DO NOT run any political stickers, such as this 2020 one for President and VP:

chutt94 07-22-2022 03:25 PM

recently have been looking into exhausts for this bike but to no avail. Any suggestions?

I haven't had a chance to look into it but i think the cat is in the muffler. If so, it's just a matter of using an aftermarket muffler. Header pipe should be open all the way through.

chutt94 07-22-2022 03:38 PM

I believe you are correct. I dont want anything crazy obnoxious but im kicking around the idea of an aftermarket pipe.

I really like the barkbuster on yours.

Also just want to throw this out there to anyone. I called American Lifan direct the other day to ask about the oil weight for this bike as the stickers and the manual say 15w-40 but according to them that is incorrect and the bike should be run with 10w-40.

4T_Goblin 07-23-2022 11:35 AM

10w-40 conventional?
