That's a nice tent. I like the ease of setup. I have a Catoma Combat Tent, but I've never had a chance to use it. It seems a little claustrophobic, but, it was a good deal at the time. :)

Surely you can sell the bike to someone. From what city do you plan to fly home?

The T1 route is pretty technical, and is intended for plated dirt bikes. From the Utah border to Arco, Idaho, I frequently ride sections of the route locally, and return home at night. ;) Crossing the Magruder Corridor, I have also ridden a good part of the T1 route from Challis, to Elk City, to Lowell, Idaho. :) However, riding north from Lowell, I will need to travel very light, and camp . ;) Therefore, I am considering getting a Catoma EBNS for camping in the extended wilderness areas of the route.

Therefore, I plan to ride my Zongshen RX3 and Honda XR650L along those routes, and camp with the larger, Catoma Lone Rider tent. ;)

Yes to NC700x Spud, No to passing kidney stone or lithotripsy. I sat the rally on the side line taking drugs for the pain ,wasn't suppose to drive while on them, and one to help break the stone up. When I was able to make it home 4 days later I got on Ebay and bought some pills (Vesipur) that help dissolve the stones and keep them from forming. The pain subsided but I could still feel it in there so I continued to take the Vesipur for 3 bottles and it eventually went away someplace and now I don't feel it anymore. Did I mention how I hate going to Doctors! Moral of the story is I need to drink way more water . That was a $5500 weekend just for the kidney stone part. rj

My ride plan is a simple one, ride south. I will be officially retired on this trip and not have any time constraints. Don't know how far I'll make it or what my final destination will be. Pretty sure I'll post it for sale on the HUBB. The again it's not that far from SA to Cape Town. :shrug:

Wherever you end your trip, I'm confident you can sell the RX3. The bike is currently sold in Peru and Chile. Zongshen has a corporate presence in Brazil, and the RX3 is soon likely to be sold there, as well. If you go to Africa, the RX3 is also being sold in Rhodesia and South Africa. By the time you end your trip, the bike will probably be sold in additional countries. ;)

Another scenario, I may become so endeared to the China bike I won't be able to part with it.:cry: If that's the case I may spend vast amounts of my fortune bringing it home with me. The only bike I ever really loved was my 67 Honda Super 90.

It didn't look quite that nice. Knobbies and a 60T rear sprocket. Owned it for 12 years and it ran every time you kicked it. Adjust valves, change oil,mess with points and that was it. The fuel line apparently ruptured while it was idling one morning and the bike completely burned to the ground. :cry:
