Nice video and work Jerry. Have you heard of these things called "tripods"? Being a one-armed mechanic is tough.

Jerry,
Did you post the links to that cooler and lines already? If so what post # was it?

Here's the oil cooler. The lines I had already. Update: The banjo connector on the engine is 10mm. The oil cooler takes a 12 mm. Motorcycle Oil... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JPH4R1X...p_mob_ap_share

For those who just happen to pick up the KPX 250, I entered the bike information on gear commander just in case you decide to swap sprockets. https://www.gearingcommander.com/
The specs state max hp @ 7500 rpm's which I think is low because the bike pulls hard to up around 8500-9000 rpms which was evident as my top speed run so far was 76 mph was at around the 8500 rpm mark.

Still no KPX vids on YT besides Jerry's. Surprised, since at least 85 are out there in the wild.

They probably all broke down.

Nah…. They are Lifans! I’m joking. Lol

The power might peak at 7500, but it also might carry near peak well past that point too. Example would be like 95% of peak still at 8500 and them it starts to fall off.

This engine performs very similar to my X22R engine. That engine pulled hard past 9000 rpm's. Now if only the rain would stop I could finish breaking in the engine. We have a low pressure system that has been hanging off the coast for days and doesn't look like it's going anywhere soon.

Just talked to the sales guy at Venom. KPXs are down to an inventory of 2 or 3! But more are coming in pretty soon, in the next week or two. No idea how many, he said.

My local little dealership got in 10 of them! All three colors: 4 blue, 3 red, 3 green. The extra blue one was because someone had pre-ordered one in blue. $3400.

KrYo 07-16-2022 09:16 PM

Hiya! So I purchased the bike about a week ago and ordered the full assembly.

They confirmed my purchase & took my money.. However today I'm about 3700+ In my bank now with no history that I even bought the bike @_@ Is this normal?

letsride 07-16-2022 09:32 PM

Yes, that seems to be totally normal. The payment will take a while to clear your bank. Venom shipped my bike and sent me a tracking number before the payment ever showed cleared on my bank account. You're fine. Venom will make good on your purchase. I too was anxious when I saw that my payment hadn't cleared yet. But all is well. To ease your mind email or call them, they will respond in short order. Congrats on your new bike.

Lifan KPX250 Dry Weight?

Does anyone have the actual weight of the KPX250? The online specs say 330 lbs but several of the Lifan bikes seem to have that same weight listed online. I will be hauling this on a carrier on the back of an RV. So, actual weight is a big deal. Thanks ahead of time.

TominMO 07-17-2022 07:20 PM

I'm seeing 333 on Lifan's website for net weight, which is probably right. The X-pect lists at 286 lbs net, and the KPX is certainly a bit heavier.

JerryHawk250 07-17-2022 07:30 PM

The 330 is pretty close.

I was able to get some ride time in on Saturday morning before the rains started again on the KPX and my Vulcan S. I was going to take the Hawk out but it started clouding up quick. The KPX still impresses me how well it runs and drives. I only have a little over 110 miles on it so far. I hoping by tomorrow the rains will stop and i can star taking it to work. I'll probably alternate between the KPX and KVS. I got to spread the love. lol The Hawk must feel like the poor redhead step child about right now. :hehe:
