Thanks Spudrider! Good info for sure. Do you have a part # for the appropriate connector? I'd rather go that route, I'm just not sure where to get it/order it.

You are correct. However, I would not clip the wires on the auxiliary harness. I installed the appropriate connector. Also the green wire of the harness is the ground wire, and the other wire, I believe it is pink, is the hot wire.
