When not in use - it is small and not in the way. I did purchase a removable tail box trunk but have used it yet.

As far as Lifan vs Hawk - I can tell you I am very happy with the Lifan. From all I have read on the forum - the Lifan Xpect is considered a higher end china bike. I purchased it specifically because it has EFI.

Have you read thru the Hawk 250 Resource thread pinned to the top of the Dual Sport/Enduro forum?

? Any chance you have found a back rack or a rack/pannier combo that will fit your Lifan? I am seriously considering one when I get back to the US in March 2021. After owning yours for a month or so, would you suggest a Hawk or the Lifan? Does the drum rear provide enough stopping power? I currently live in Shanghai... none of the smaller motorcycles have rear disc brakes
