    Sorry for the very late reply (been busy between work & rebuilding an old / classic Yamaha cruiser).

    #1) Install your windshield using the same 10mm bolts that hold the top of your forks in place (works beautifully for fog lights too). Note the bolt I'm pointing at via the red arrow.

    #2) The short-levers are a Godsend (compared to stock); esp. as the bike warms & the cables get "squishy". With a simple "click" I can adjust either lever while riding (no tools req.). So, yeah, get yourself some short levers.
    HERE are the levers I purchased / use. Just make sure you swap the bolts that come with the levers for good quality (e.g. grade 8.8) "hex cap bolts". That is the type of bolt that Jap bikes use. Also, make sure to use red thread-lock on them.
