New from CSC...

This looks nice. I'm sure I've seen this before - the bike configuration, I mean?

Here it is on Zongshen's site. The one on their site shows a 150cc model, but I am quite sure the CSC model will have a 229cc.

It seems that is the case. Joe Berk was grinning from ear to ear in the video. It is mentioned in their blog, but I think they don't have a photo, yet--just their video (that you can't watch...)

Which one, I thought I read them all?

Thanks for the info. So another Mc for the showroom . Choices are always good, more chance to sell to a broader audience.

It's not looking good for the csc haters

March 10--does show pics and videos. Doesn't your library offer free wi-fi? Heck, the Yuma one has computers to borrow for an hour or two.

I'm curious to see if it will retain the drum rear brake. Not that it matters that much but it's been a sticking point for some.

Click on the blog--one of the photos clearly shows a drum brake, but that doesn't mean that is how it will be configured for CSC.

What's the Horsepower?

I hope the 250CR comes with more horsepower than the 250TT, with fuel injection, a 6 Speed transmission, disc brakes front and back.
If it's to be a "real" Cafe Racer, it needs more refinements/upgrades than a dual sport/off road bike.
Hard to be labeled a "Cafe Racer" with only 17 horsepower!

Looks to be the CG engine so it'll likely be the same as the TT.

Transplanting the TT250 engine

I just finished reading the newest "news" regarding the CSC Cafe Racer, and CSC stated they will be transplanting the CSC TT250 (229cc) engine into this new model bike. Sorry to hear that it will be the same-o, same-o, air cooled, carbureted, 5 speed, engine needing a lot of updates and alterations by the owner to get it to run correctly.
Maybe instead of "cafe"racer it should be called a "fast-food" racer? You'll be able to race your friends from one McDonalds to the next McDonalds! Maybe throw in a BurgerKing or TacoBell occasionally for more adventure?
I was really hoping that the CSC RX-3 engine and tranny would be the "engine" of choice! It would be a lot better choice for "road riding" instead of a dirt bike engine.
Or maybe CSC's information is just a posting to see what their customers are really looking for in a CR bike?
Time will tell!
