New Guy in Arizona

Hi. I just got a Bashan Storm 250.
I had several Harley Davidsons, then bought a KLR 650 a few years ago, and bought my daughter a Yamaha XT250.
I commuted with the KLR, and did a few trips with it, but thought it a bit big and heavy for off-road. Sold it 1 1/2 years ago.

I remembered how nice and nimble the XT 250 was, so I've been searching, with no luck for a used one. Or a KLX 250, or DR200.
I want something light enough that I can load it on a hitch mount carrier on the back of my SUV.

I found the Bashan, the guy had it a year, and it was too tall for him (5 foot 6 inches). He only put 240 KM on it.
The info on this forum has been very helpful so far, I'm sure I'll have a lot more questions !

Welcome to here! I am in the process of moving back to Yuma after a year and a half in the L.A. area. The Storm is a great Chinabike and if you need parts, should have luck with www.brozz250.com The Brozz, the Storm, and a few other bikes are manufactured by Bashan, but sold via several distributors. Jeff at Peace Sports, who sell the Brozz 250, set up the brozz250 site to sell parts for the Brozz (and sells whole bikes--soon to include the Motomax motard-style Bashan). Some, maybe many, parts should interchange. Oh, and Arizona ride related, member Musictrek is setting up a group ride and camp out on November 9 which might be of interest to you. scroll down to the 'Riding' section for details.

Thanks for the Welcome !
Here's a pic. I ordered a new brake lever to replace the one the previous owner bent. I took some of the downward and outward bend out but was afraid to straighten it more and have it snap.
And I'm surprised that my Storm didn't come with a cargo rack, as all the pics and videos I'd seen of them had a rack.
So I ordered one of those too from the dealer in Phoenix, $50, should arrive today.
