NJ - Templar X Road Legal (?)

Hi! Just wanted to see if anyone in NJ has succesfully gotten their Templar's plated for NJ. Thanks.

Buddy just did it last week but had to go through Montana. NJ dmv claimed the manufacturer isn't in their database so they refused.

How do you go about doing it through a different state if you could share?
