Please help.Setting timing on Crank and Cam

Hello everyone. My Name is Ken,I live way up in the Mountains,in Panama(Volcan) I live in a Information Vacum. The Chinese Dealership in the City of David sold me this "HOFI" 250 imitation, wanabe Harley. It's been a good Bike since 2008.Near as I can tell, there is no such thing as a HOFI Make of Motorcycles.I think he chose various Parts in China, and had them put his Name on the Casing(caste into the Side Case.We have a lot of Chinese Merchants down here, actually too many.Once they get your Money your on your own.Anyway,in the 10 Years that I've had this Bike,I have never been able to IDENTIFY the Maker of this MOTOR.sad...someone said the first Three Letters of the Motor Number will get you some information on the Maker! A little help on that? BUT right now I have a problem.Somehow BOTH Valves in the Left Cylinder showed up BENT.I got everything in a MONUMENTAL EFFORT
and now it's going back together. But,I failed to keep track on the Crank and Chain/Sprocket for the TIMING.Could Anyone help set the Marks??Thanks,I'll be around!
Ken.
P.S. My Engine Number is.. 253FMM-8A081900

Thanks,Humanbeing,I'll study what you Posted. Can anyone imagine how Two Valves in one Cylinder got Bent? Perhaps over-reving?
Ken.

Could be over-revving, is it possible they jumped timing and you got a piston strike?

Cam chain may exceeds it's limit in such old bike.
Honda #: 14401-KBG-671 | 98L /4*5/ Hi-Vo http://chain-guide.com/applications/...oth-chain.html (Daily Chinese term often ref this type as 坦克 tank cuz it shaped as those continuous track)

Some Viraro use SAME chain https://moto-drive.com/images/doc/Cepi_GRM.pdf
