nicklemine saturday

well we forgot our camera again  in all our excitement at taking the grandson out for his first time on his own quad.

he did way better that we expected he would on his very first ride on his own for a 9 yr old.

unfortunetly after about 2 hrs of riding his 110 decided to suck air in somewhere and wouldn't start anymore so he had to double on the back of the 150 for the rest of the day ....but....he said most days he has 99% fun and that yesterday he had 110% fun all day even though his wasn't working.

the wife managed to keep all 4 tires on the ground unlike myself

we followed a route that said ATV's ok on this trail called "the chute" so down we go and it was my turn to "flop" an atv....i went down pretty hard but survived with minor scrapes

time to start looking for body armor

when we got down to the beaver pond crossing I had to ride both quads through the lower part of it ....that 150 really amazes me on how well it does in water and mud just plowed right through.

at the end of the day we were talking with some other members and they said we were crazy to take the quads down the cute

all in all was a great day .....few scrapes and bruises and a bit of a sun burn to top it all off ...oh and we figured out why the mrs keeps loosing power ....bad spark plug boot ...time for a new spark plug wire

can't wait to go back there again

Sounds like a good day, despite the crash.

I'm also impressed with how our 150 handles hills and mud. Very capable little machine, and the fully auto setup is perfect for beginners.

I bought an NGK plug wire and boot from CT, and it's much more flexible, especially in cold weather.

Ouch! 8O I would much rather drop a motorcycle, than flip a quad! I'm glad you had a good time, despite the bruises.
