chinese quads

hi everyone..
well I live in qld in Australia so temp range 20c to 40c 70f to 110f
elevation above sea level around 300metres plus..so 900ftplus

I got 3 x 250cc quads
2 x zongshen water cooled ..I think 1 is 300cc
1 x shineray air cooled

ok all have clone carbi pz30...
I got a brand new kt pz30 no pilot markings no main markings...
the mystery carbi...

3 of the rest jingke with 36 36 39 pilots...and 105 105 105 mains..

ok here the story....quad 1 2002 model 250cc zongshen with jingke...carbi....been sitting doin nothing for 2 years
quad 2 2014 model zongshen 300cc with jingke carbi....been sitting doing nothing for 2 years also...
quad 3 ;;;;2017 been sitting for 9months...jingke carbi shinray air cooled..

cleaned tanks and all quads carbi...new fuel lines

quad 3 2017 starting playing up..unstable idle...stalling...revs where ok
choke start when cold ok
hot start ok..reved ok
but idle was way high over 1400rpm...had dangerous twist throttle ..so I converted it back to thumb...wanted the revs down ...you could tke off without any throttle at all...that's how I got it set hi..

so I recleaned its carbi again...tank fuel lines filter..
must have the mixture turns wrong ..
could not get it start ...so I tried the new one kt...with its factory set...
it wouldn't start it...either...

here is where I opted to clean and try the 2 other quads carbis..
they didn't work either...
and to my amazement althought jetted simular....as I wrote above...36 36 39 105 105 105 ...all had different mix setting..
strange because all 3 engines are simular clones of cg250... 2 x167mm fm 1x 176nm

I figure if I get carbi to work on quad 3 shineray 250....and all to work on her....they all good to go back on quad 1 and 2...

quad 1 and 2 also had too high idle always as well...1 was cranky starter..but both reved good ...

I not checked all quads notch setting for piston needle yet...
no 3 quad I have ...its 2nd notch from bottom...think its got 5 or 6 notches

heres the plan...clean all tanks and lines filters carbis..

start with quad 3 ...check manifolds gaskets..etc..
find a carbi out of bunch that will easy start and hold idle stable and close to 1400rpm
hopefully I get all doin it
and I don't care what mixture seting start off being
then try get it to do that ...but allow reving as well

see how many will...

those that don't I try differing jetting

I figure surely a working quad 3 carbi...should be ok on quad 1 or 2 as well

that's the plan....if anyone has any ideas...or settings to try...let me know ok...ty phil

fixed scews on 1 carbi
got new carbi nuts too stay tuned...

I do some photos as well....could be helpful

Help us so we can help u. Different settfor different .others isn't unusual. Some have more er.... were that others. One motor at at a time please.
