I'm really curious about the 705's. I don't want anything too aggressive because we spend 90% pavement, 10% graveled road. The upside is the stock tires seem to do very well for our needs, but I'd like to have other options without raising the bike height.

The 705 is an 80/20, pavement/dirt, tire.

It definitely raises the seat height.

With my 30" inseam, I can barely tiptoe on both sides at a stop.

It looks like the stock CST tire is the only dual sport tire in the 130/70-17 size.

I thought the CST tire performed well and lasted a long time.

When I wear out the Shinko, I may go back to the stock tire.

Thanks, Pete.

But that tire also is not available in a "70" series aspect ratio.

The Kenda 761's are what I have on Q and no complaints. I'm getting good wear out of them and they handle the paved twisties quite predictably.
