Rain forest in SE Alaska

The weather here in the rain forest was awesome the last few days, so we had to get the bikes out and do some braf'n. Of course I forgot to take a camera on the first few rides, got a few pics when I was at the river. I'll try to add a few more in the next few weeks. Love my Lifans!

Thanks for posting the nice photos, Dad! I enjoyed seeing the lush vegetation; we have a more arid climate in this region of Idaho. Please do post more photographs.

Todays Ride was from sea level to over 2000 ft elevation and one one of my favorite views and its a great ride to boot! Riding on the island is mostly logging roads, the trails here are to swampy (muskeg) to ride a normal dirt bike on.
At the base of the mountain down in the Alder groves.

At our first stop we are into the conifer forest.

This pic I call The Edge of the Earth.

Here were at the end of the road looking out to the south. The air smells so good skunk cabbages and wild flowers and a hint of spruce!

In this pic of you look carefully just above the blue Lifans seat you can see the arm of Thorne Bay where the river enters it.

And just to complete the trip a look across the bay to town.

After seeing everyones great pictures here I had to add a few from my neck of the woods, I hope your enjoying mine as much I have enjoyed the others in this fantastic thread!

Very nice pics. Maybe I should take some of the local Waffle Houses.

Kato,
It has been 9 yrs since I last saw a waffle house. The morning before leaving the lower 48 we had breakfast at the Belingham WA IHOP, no place like that here. :o
