I have a clean 3/4 hole all the way through. The exhaust has a little deeper tone but is still pretty quiet, win/win in my book. A better flowing exhaust and still quiet.
If you end up doing this job, be sure and run a magnet down the hole to get out as much bits as possible, then start it and blow out the fine metal dust particles.

I got up early to take a ride before mama woke up. I'm at about 650 miles on the KPR now. I changed back to the stock 15t sprocket to give it a try at top speed. After I gutted out the exhaust I removed the air filter snorkle to give it a better huff and puff. I rode around for a while and decided to hit the interstate on the way home. My top speed was a pretty steady 80mph except when a few wing gusts and hills hit me and then it would still hold 75mph pretty good. The bike is so smooth and I feel very confident in the machine at that speed. The bike has been running flawlessly since I purchased it! Lifan really put a lot of thought and research in the development of this engine and it shows. I would say the transmission is matched to the power of this engine perfectly! I've had many bikes over my 50 years of riding and it doesn't get much better with the power to transmission match up.

The MPG has been in the 70ish range I would say, and that's running it pretty hard. I'm having a blast on this bike, it's so fun to ride and tinker on

I have to protect my baby, so I'm installing a Viper alarm. This alarm has lots of features but I only want the alarm and lights to go off if someone is messing with it, makes life easier to wire it as well.

I didn't want to tie into the bikes wiring so I bought some extra lights for the alarm. They look good on the bike and match the turn signals. It's mounted just above the passenger foot peg on both sides. They are pretty bright for just 4 LED's

They turn amber when energized, the siren is only 110db but seems a lot louder than that to me. The alarm works great, my first time out with it I stopped at the store and when I came back out I forgot I had set the alarm and when I stood the bike up it went off and scared the old lady in front of me to death

I noticed in the wiring diagram for the KPR there is an open connector "Reserved interface for burglar alarm" on page 89 and 90. I wonder if you can use that to use the stock lights.
