Bouncing after wheel balance
After I balanced the front wheel with the axle-on-jackstand technique, the front of my bike bounces at around 35 mph. Fortunately, there's no bouncing at higher speeds.

Take a look at the bead of the tire all the way around the rim on both sides. I had a heck of a time getting the stock tire to seat it'self properly on the rim. Had to break the bead loose, apply soapy water, and re-inflate several times to get it to properly seat in the correct location.
Even though it might be balanced, the tire might be rolling like a wheel on Mr. Magoo's car |

There's a line moulded all the way around the tyre about 5 mm from the rim. Check that this line is equidistant from the rim all the way around. If not, the usual procedure is to deflate the tyre until there's just a few pounds in it and bounce it on the floor, turning frequently until the bead sits properly.

You're a genius, forchetto. Yep, the bead was not properly seated. I inflate and deflated about a dozen times, before the bead would sit properly. Soapy water helped, and so did prying. This tire is original, stock. So, I haven't touched it since day-1, 8000 miles ago. Apparently, I've been riding with this badly seated tire for that many miles without realizing it.

Mine was that way also but I noticed it and got it right before riding. Glad you got it set.

8000 miles on the front tire. Your doing good. Mine was badly cupped after about 4000. Very happy with my duro median replacement.

Yep, 8000 miles on the front tire, and it still has some life left in it. The rear tire was recently changed to Kenda. The rear was dangerously worn out, when I changed it. 1500 of those miles were highway; rest were city miles. The compound on the stock tires are very hard, which was probably why it lasted so long.
