"Will" has a rack!

I made a rack by welding up some 1/2" conduit, a bracket in front that bolts underneath the seat from Lowes, and a couple pieces of angle iron from the crate the "Will" came in. I welded a 5/16" nut to each side of frame under the rear fender for support.

Thanks Adjuster, it was actually time a little time consuming and took several days it was hard to find the spare time to work on it. But I'm happy with the way it turned out. My wife said when I showed it to her, "good now you can clean up the garage."

That's uptown!

Nice job. Did you use a conduit bender to get that radius?

Yes, before my current job I was an electrician for 12 years so I had a bender laying around getting rusty. Thin wall conduit is not very easy to weld I burnt through it a couple of times in the lowest setting but then again i'm not that great of welding, I do a lot of grinding and then more welding then a lot of grinding, I spend a fortune in wire lol.

I was going to use conduit for the vertical supports but I wanted to incorporate some of the angle iron from the crate so I used that instead.

You don't have to be a good welder, just a good grinder.

What type of welder are you using?

For Andy:

Literally held on with 2 stainless steel bolts! LOL
I never intended on carrying anything more than 5 lbs. in it.
Just drink(s) , basic tool kit, lunch.

That didn't look bad and it worked, thanks for posting the pic. That was a nice bike shame you couldn't keep it.
