uni pod, what to do with crank case vent?

So I installed the uni pod on my shineray, noticed I was getting oil all over the rear fender. Crank case vent was sending oil every where. I rigged a catch can for now, but is it normal to have a noticable amount of oil coming out of the vent?
Its also much darker than the oil that is on the dipstick and what comes out the drain plug.

Pics coming of the oil and catch.

The high tech redneck oil catch can.

Oil color, still comes out clear. Wash changed less than 150 miles ago.

Is oil issuing from the hose?

It's ok to route the vent hose up under the seat, even as far as the tail light. If you put a small filter on the hose, you won't draw dirt into the engine when the hose is under vacuum.

Oil doesn't come out of hose and good point on putting filter on it and if anyone is curious what size hose its about 1/2" id I just used a regular hose clamp as oe clamp was to small

If oil were issuing from the hose, you would definitely need an oil filter on the end of the hose. However, I agree with Weld; it's always wise to put an oil filter on the end of the hose to prevent dirt being sucked into the crankcase.
