RX3 sudden shutdown

My friend's RX3 (carb type) suddenly shuts down while we we're cruising yesterday.

-Battery is good, we even tried to swap with my bike
-Gauge is working
-Starter Fuse is good

we can only hear a (1) click from the starter and it won't continue to spin the bendix drive. Also the gauge will start to fade (like its being deprived of electricity) when we tried starting the bike.

what could be the problem? looks like a electrical problem to me

Without pulling it out it's hard to tell, you'd have to unscrew it and check it briefly you can hear it spinning, it's like the coil is burnt out and the bendix cog isn't kicking out.

Possible Bad Battery

Test your battery and battery connections - the gauge behavior and starter clicking symptoms look the same as a dead battery situation. The resting battery voltage, with the ignition switch shut off, should be 12.8 to 13.1 volts, anything lower and the battery is over discharged. Try swapping in a known, good battery and see if it starts and runs. If it does, check the voltage at the battery terminals as it is running, at 5000 RPM or so you want to see around 14 volts; if it's lower than that then you may have a bad stator and/or a bad regulator rectifier that isn't keeping the battery charged.
