USD forks. Nice upgrade. I wonder if this is the injected model we've heard rumors of?
EDIT: Just saw their website. According to them, it's injected.

To bad it's TXP. Someone else has to be carrying it.

Interesting, I see an EFI badge on the side, I wonder if the Hawk really lost its carb?

What I see is a "EFI" sticker, wonder what the acronym really is for EFI in this case because from what I can see it looks like the standard "PZ30" carbie hanging off the engine (look for the black drain hose and you can see the carb ) trying to hide behind the frame in that zoomed in pic clearly doesn't look like what I normally see on EFI bikes

Puff, puff, and pass yourself onto a better dealership/drop shipper

Yep, still coming soon. The photos themselves are photoshops.

I will say this, at least the price seems to have come down. They started them at nearly $3000. Now they are $1800. Somebody must have realized that nobody would buy that bike for $3000

Yep, and I bet that is being their biggest hold up as far as getting the bike into the US for sale. I would honestly be surprised if they bothered to get at least 49 state legality for it.

The USD Forks are nice, but I could do without them. I would really like to see them upgrade the rear susension. Better shock with at least preload adjustment, and a swing arm that wasn't made out of such thin material.

Aluminum rims on the wheels would also be a nice small upgrade.

I guess we'll have to wait and see when they actually arrive for sale and se real world pictures. Just wish it was another dealer selling them. Would hate to see them ruin a good thing.

I would still buy the TT250. Having dealt with TXPS with both warranty claims and parts orders, and then CSC when ordering parts and having a mistake.

TXPS - Runaround on the phone, treated like shit on the phone, told to e-mail. Send e-mail, get no repsonse for a week, try again, no response. call them to complain about no e-mail response, treated like crap again and told to e-mail. I wont even go into the 2+ month ordeal when trying to get a front wheel.

CSC. Order part, receive part faster than quoted, part has pieces missing, call CSC, sincerely state how sorry they are and they ask me my name, send me missing parts overnight at no charge.

I would take a carburated TT250 over an EFI Hawk.

Motocheez just responded to a comment on one of his videos I put, and mentioned he is supposed to get one of these for testing; I know he had stated this before, but he reiterated this fact. I would love to see his take on it since he is an authority on Hawks, although we pretty much know Megadan is THE authority on the bike!

I wouldn't call myself any kind of authority on the bike. I actually have conversations with Motocheez from time to time about various things related to the bike.

I trust him to be honest enough about this bike's pros and cons. I have my own reservations with a bike this cheap and the electronics involved. There is a lot to be said about the rugged simplicity of a slide carburetor. It's just unfortunate that they had to tune them so poorly from the factory to try and meet emissions regs. As long as this EFI system isn't tuned the same way it can only be an improvement, especially if it is a self learning system.

According to the sales guy and the head of American Lifan (who I caught off guard one afternoon calling them for information on their KP200), their long-shown, but never offered here X-Pect 200 is supposed to get the fuel-injected/liquid-cooled 200cc engine from the KPR/KP200; I wouldn't pay $3k for that, and it is a kind of proven engine, not to mention the KP/KPR bikes are going for the mid-$2000 range.
