It's convenient, but there is no color option, and 80 bucks is about 20-30 more than you would spend buying through Taobao.

I guess if you want to avoid the little bit of extra hassel ordering via taobao, then it is a good way to go

What are your thoughts on this one compared to the valve cover one? I don't want to Go through taobao. I found the valve cover one on dhgate for $60

There is a color option of Gold, Silver, Red & Black.
I ordered the silver.

The valve cover style is not a bad style to run. It takes the oil going to the head and cools it off before reaching the head and dumps it straight on the valves. If there is anywhere to be considered the most important in cooling an aircooled engine it is the cylinder head. It also should then help keep the overall engine cooler.

The system linked in this thread cools the entire flow of oil to the engine, giving a more direct effect on every other part of the engine and transmission. In theory this makes it the most effective of the two.

In either case, having an oil cooler on your bike will be of benefit, so go with whichever one you like more.

Ah nice. When I was looking to order one they only had the red, which was annoying.

Thanks! I'll probably go with this one, easier to install and the radiator looks a lot nicer

I found these on amazon. A good bit cheaper than aliexpress for the oil filter model, but I hear the valve cover model is better as it cools the more critical head and top end parts better. Maybe some people will use both for maximum cooling?

Oil filter model no prime but only $60: https://amzn.to/37HAt61
Oil filter model with prime shipping: https://amzn.to/36AkiaE
Valve Cover model: https://amzn.to/2QsEDZv
