That would very quickly become a 125 if I had it, then a 140.

The company that used to import the Kikker 5150 bobber got in trouble for something or another with the US govt. (i.e. false VINs or something). The owner resolved the situation, and now imports the Kikker both as a 'roller' and a 49cc motorcycle (it is a geared engine which is one of the reasons, or main reason, why it is not sold as a 'scooter' here). Obviously, the idea is to exchange out the engine. I look at this bike in the same way, since the Pierspeed who holds the EPA/DOT certification for the 125s wouldn't negotiate with Wade (seen riding in the video) of Excalibur. Hence, only the 50s are available as brand new in the US, for now. I look at the above as a project-it can be ridden stock for awhile, but the allure of a 140cc crate motor in the future would give me some extra fun, as well as mechanical skills!

My bike came with the same semi auto 49cc engine as the Madass. I switched it out for a 125cc engine. Holy crap what a difference. 125cc is a powerful engine in a small light weight bike.

Realistically, I would probably opt for the 125 due to price--I am cheap which is why I am here in the first place

The 125 is a bolt-in deal, but the 140 requires an oil cooler, from what I've read. I bet it would be totally worth it.

Yep other than removing and resetting the muffler and intake pipe the engine came out and went back in with two bolts only. I was amazed and shocked that only two skinny 6" bolts hold the engine in place.
