Thank you, Doc. I agree; the Zong, and the BRP complement each other nicely.

My modified YamaZong is a great trail bike, and the 4.1-gallon, Clarke fuel tank makes it a wonderful bike for an adventure such as this one.

The Honda XR650L can cover longer distances ,in less time ,for farther adventures; yet, considering its size, the BRP is still quite capable on the trails.

If I had owned it at the time, the BRP would have done a great job on this particular trip! However, since I was not in a hurry, I think the Zong was actually more fun to ride on this adventure.

I hiked up to Bountiful Peak, elevation 9,094 feet above sea level, and sat down to enjoy the view. Sweeping the horizon from the south to the west, I surveyed the panorama from the Wasatch Mountains, to the Oquirrh Mountains, to Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake.

That'sretty high Spud, not a whole heck of a lot of air up there! What was your starting elevation for the hike? You must be in great shape!

I'm very pleased to be blessed with good health, Doc.

The hike wasn't that long; I would guess the climb was about 250 vertical feet.

I've been up there about a half dozen times, but I haven't seen any large critters; nevertheless I'm sure they are around.

I usually see squirrels, chipmunks, hawks, et cetera.

Sweeping the horizon from the west to the north, I observed the distant Promontory Mountains, Ogden, and its neighboring communities, and finally, Francis Peak.

I would visit Francis Peak later in the afternoon.

Looking beyond Francis Peak, I could observe Interstate 84 in the distance, winding its way from the town of Peterson in the north, to Morgan in the east.

Zooming in, I took a closer look at the town of Morgan, where I-84 separates from East Canyon, and turns eastward toward Wyoming.

Completing the panorama, my eyes followed Route 66 southward down East Canyon through Porterville, and back to the Wasatch Range.

I took a closer photograph of Porterville, before I continued my sweep to the south.
