Sorry to hear about the battery failure. I believe they did have some issues with the early bikes batteries.....what did you replace it with?

Joe posted that Rider mag just did a ride report on the 2016 RX3. In it they mention that it has grease zerks on the swing arm ?????. Hadn't read anything about that before. Also had a pic of the OCS half full of fluid. rj

Thanks for posting the photo, Ron. The grease zerks are a nice addition.

Thanks Ron B for confirming that and posting a great pic.
Question for mods.
There are a lot of very informative pics on this forum and I find it hard to remember when and where I saw them but occasionally would like to see them again because they are relevant to what ever I'm doing to my bike at the time. Like the one above of Ron B's. Could a sticky be made of just all the pics in one spot of pics only that have to do with maintenance , mods, broken things and fixed things? Maybe have sub groups for just bike pics, just accessories, just broken things, different tires, seats, luggage set ups, etc
Or would it be to redundant? thanks ,rj

I could be wrong but i thought i read you had to drop the skid plate to get to the oil drain plug. but mine is at the back of the engine clear of the plate. is this a change in 2016 to or am I wrong about reading that? Also remembering about poor front brakes but mine will lock the front end up and bring the rear tire off the ground.

The oil drain plug under the engine is accessible without removing the skid plate on all RX3 bikes.

I strongly suggest removing the skid plate to drain the oil, since removing the two oil strainer bolts and the oil filter cover will make a huge mess if you don't remove the skid plate.

Also, I don't have any complaints about the stock brakes, as long as you install the Honda (EBC FA185) sintered brake pads for the front brake.

That project would entail an enormous amount of work, Rob.

Joe from CSC posted a new 10,000 mile recommended maintenance check.
someone with approx. 15000 miles had the right engine cover crack open and was loosing oil.looks like the crankshaft nut worked its way loose and came off the crankshaft.

That someone would be me.

Needless to say, CSC has shipped me the parts I need for the repair under warranty. More importantly, they also made the correct decision to recommend the 10,000 mile inspection.

The owner of a company sets the example and establishes the guidelines for the operation of his business. Steve Seidner runs a class operation at CSC, and he hires excellent people who implement his honest and forthright business practices. I compliment Steve, and all the great people he hired to work at CSC Motorcycles.
