What I've been up to.

Like Spud, Doc has been enjoying the summer.

I've taken time off for flying and bicycling and motorcycle adventures, mostly all in the Pacific Northwest and California.

I've climbed Mt. Lassen, Mt. Shasta, and several big hikes/climbs in Yosemite.

I've flown to and bicycled around Crater Lake, and all other sorts of wonderful palces out here.

To share, here's a couple pics with light annotation.

Thanks for the pics, Doc. Jimmy has made a terrific improvement in his fitness level! I hope he can carry that through to even better fitness. Please give him my regards.

I particularly appreciate the pic looking over the wild flowers to the lake below; quite an amazing shot.

Jimmy has lost about 170+ pounds so far. He is targeting to be under 200. He's been eating healthy and exercising a lot for the past 18+ months and plans to stay on it, God willing, the rest of his long and healthy life.

His eating habits on the trip were quite unexcellent regarding food choices, so he still has a desire to eat poorly. I know he can keep it in check however and I do whatever I can to support him.

That looks awesome Doc! Many, many fine places you've been!
Mrs. 2LZ and I used to load up both the Vics and go tour the Lassen area annually. We'd set up camp on Hat Creek and take day trips out and use the camp as a home base. You undoubtedly road right by our old campground.

Here's a sample of those trips.

Great pic, 2LZ! If only I could learn to relax a little like that.

Lassen is so undervisited it's a California gem. Yosemite is overrun, but no crowds in Lassen. Plus it's close to you (so is Yosemite you lucky dog).

We hiked on King Creek, out to Bumpass Hell, and on Hat Creek. I checked to see but you did not leave a beer for me at your campsite.

Ask Randy to work on a design fix for the Remington R51, would you?

LOL!

Trust me this is not an area you need to be concerned. Miss Nancy and I continue to do well, and she remains the Beauty of the Ducati!

With that said Jimmy is my best friend. We met before kindergarden and have been friends ever since. We have done an annual motorcycle vacation together almost every year since I moved out West 20+ years ago.

His design is based on the Sig action, with enough changes to skirt patent issues. It is modified with a laser (integral) and a CO2 operated cycling action for police and military training purposes.

Once again Doc, I remind you of the harp seal comment. ;-) I'm glad to hear you still have Nancy around.

I see Jimmy has nice taste in American motorcycles! I have a "Jimmy" myself. Met when we were wee tots and just had our "50th" last week. We joke that we've outlasted most marriages. The number of hangovers is countless. ;-)
