Doh! Swingarm Bolt

So my swingarm bolt head cracked off while riding forest roads over memorial day. Tried ordering from taotaopartsdirect.com but they hadn't shipped after 3 weeks so canceled that which leads me to info for you guys:

2017 Hawk
  • Thread Diameter - M14
  • Thread Pitch - 1.5mm
  • Thread Length - 30mm
  • Stock bolt shoulder length (including threaded end)- 255mm
  • Frame distance from bolt flange to bolt flange - 235mm

Here's what I sourced from Fastenal:
It cost $27.46 shipped to my local Fastenal store and gets there in 2 days. Kinda wished I hadn't been lazy and just did this the first time, missed out on 3ish weeks of riding...

Welcome to the club, there seems to be some swingarm bolts that are just cheap as fu..

I broke two until i found one that both ends were threaded, that one seems to be the best one.

CSC TT250 Swingarm bolt is probably the easiest and best option. Just $6 and its actually an upgrade.

Is that a black oxide bolt? I would suggest perhaps hitting the ends with some spray paint or nail polish. Did you pack the tube with grease while you had the chance?

Yes and good idea! Noted about the grease, I'll do that this winter.

They're pretty tough to find in a brick and mortar store, kinda specialized
