Marina's are a good place to look as well as asking a local snowmobile dealer. Also here are two more resources....

Thanks for posting this. I agree with everything with what was said at the "real gas" website and also want to add that the grain gas actually has a lower btu gallon content when compared to e0 gasoline. It was fun for the folks in Washington (dimms and repubs) to jigger around with the gasoline in the name of lower emissions etc, etc. But in the long run, does it really do any good?

I'm not sure on the stock carb. I think the replacement Mikuni has a 20 in it. I can't remember for sure.

Please reply ASAP if your registration worked in MA. My hawk just arrived yesterday and is still in the box in my garage.

All my Mikuni's came with the lean 100/20 setup.
I changed them to:

Main jet: 110, 112.5 or 115
Pilot: I think 25, 27.5 or 30. I'll have to confirm these.

Each bike and quad has different jetting depending on muffler or breather.

YEs. No problems. No questions. Plates are on it as we speak

Waited a week or so for the MCO and bill of sale to come in. Went to the insurance company, put insurance on it, got the RMV1 form, went to the RMV with the:
•Bill of sale
•RMV1
•MCO
And a check for the registration/plates, title, & tax. Total was $180

So I did the 110 main jet, and shimmed the carb. Put it all back, and can't get it to start off throttle still. Hmmmm.... nevermind the fact the battery sucks and dies after a min or so of trying to start it. New battery will be in my future. But need to figure this out

Done for the night. Supposed to get snow tomorrow (4-6"), then i work my 24hr shift Saturday. Won't be able to mess with it until Sunday :(. I might toy with it tomorrow some

Hey Oldscooter, I thought the same thing! That's not the "New Bike Smell" I was hoping for!

Thumbs Up

So I lied, and ended going back out in the garage and tinkering some more. I charged the battery for a couple hours and that seemed to help. Got it fired up and idled awesome. Took it for a ride (about 4-5 miles) and it is definitely a lot smoother. I'm still babying, until it's broken in. But with the new jet and shim, it runs night and day different. A lot better with the little bit of mods I've done so far.

This weekend I might check the valves and do another oil change. I'll keep you posted

These bikes and the quest to make them right can be addictive.

The main isn't really going to help much with the idle. The main is for 1/2 throttle to WOT. I constantly refer to this illustration:
