The Mobil station near me has 87/89/93. So I filled it with 93 today. We will see how she runs with it

I think even if you ran the middle grade 89 you would be okay. I run 89 and 93 ethanol free gas. I not sure how good gas is in your area but here we have pretty good gas. No corn squeezing in my gas. lol

I run 85 to 87 in my Bashan WILL that has a 9.0:1 compression ratio...

And here is what the Emissions plate reads on this bike... it should be noted (again and again...) that it has the generalization of what "Octane" number to use... testing of "Octane" numbers is different depending on where you are in the world...

Where our bikes are made (over in China), they like to use RON (Research Octane Number) as their "Octane" testing and numbers... in North America, we will see it as AKI (Anti-Knock Index) as the "Octane" testing and numbers...

85 AKI is about the same as 90 RON... and unless you slapped a high compression piston in, or your bike is pinging under load (trust me... it shouldn't with only a 8.7:1 compression ratio)... you are doing your bike and wallet no favors by using anything higher then regular fuel

So morning update. It's overcast till after noon some time. I'm headed to try to register it. Wish me luck

Cold starts are a PITA to get it to idle. On choke, cold start, doesn't want to idle by itself without partial throttle help. Once warm, it idled fine off choke. But when it's cold, I can mess with the idle screw to get it to idle without throttle, but the rpms jump once warmed, and I have to mess with the idle screw to lower it down. Thinking maybe the bigger jet or new carb might help elevate this problem.

Thoughts?

Try a larger main jet. Sounds like your running lean.

That's what I was thinking. I know they run lean from the get go. And the air box mod (if it did anything), didn't make it run any less lean. I got the Jets in yesterday. I'll give it a shot.

What's your thoughts on size, put the 110, 115 in?
Thanks

155 sounds too rich to me. ARH

Jetting will help but these don't have a high idle on choke. It's a pretty simple carb.

The main jet doesn't affect idle. The pilot jet controls idle along with the enricher (choke) when it's on. I would step up the pilot jet two sizes.
