This looks like a great forum. I'm glad to be part of it but have to warn you that I'm not only a China Riders newbie but new to forums in general. My apologies if I break any forum etiquette rules. I'm getting back into riding after being out of it for years and find myself gravitating towards the prices, uniqueness and hands-on aspects of Chinese powersports options.

I've been looking at the CSC RX3 for a few months now and setting aside a little bit every week towards purchasing one. I'm having to save for this purchase outside the lines as the wife nixed an outright purchase with money on hand. No rush as it's getting cold here in Idaho and I'm not nearly as keen to ride in the winter as I used to be. About 20 years ago I rode a 1982 Honda CB650 though a winter in northern Utah. Since then I've gained an appreciation for having a choice of winter transportation.

I'm heading out tomorrow to look at picking up a 2007 Hensim HS250DB as a winter project. Super low miles and a super low price but the carburetor is in pieces (not sure if complete). Seems like an okay bike after searching some old threads here on the forum.

I went out riding with my son and his friend a few weeks ago when he came back into town for a visit. It was my first time back on a dirt bike in almost 5 years. I borrowed a 250 and was quickly reminded that I live in a fantastic place for riding. I can't ignore it any longer.

Welcome! It sounds like you've chosen wisely; your wife is a keeper!

I think it's a good plan to save for an RX3. I'd love to have one.

If you can grab that Hensim for cheap (with a title), do it. A decent carb with easily-sourced jets is only $40.00. One you get your RX3, the Hensim will make a great buddy bike.

Where in Idaho are you located? I live in East Idaho, potato country. However, I am an alumnus of the University of Idaho, so I am very familiar with North Idaho, as well.

I'm actually in the Boise area. Moved here about 5 years ago but for work I cover Idaho, Oregon, Washington, BC and Alberta so I get around a bit.

I'm officially the owner of a 2007 Hensim HS250DB. It has 8.9 miles on it. Really. Clean title, good plastics.

Clutch and brake levers are bent along with two dangling blinkers. I need to fix those and rebuild/replace the carb and jets along with general maintenance and tune up for a bike that's been sitting in a shed for years.

Where's the best place to get carb parts and would it just be easier to get a new one? If so, where?
