The brake side is the one I have adjusted all the way out. I'll try to get a measure on "all the way in" tonight so you see where it stands.

Lever Adjustments

Ok...here's the skinny.
It looks as though you get about 1/2" swing on the ENDS of the levers by the adjusters.
On the brake side, you can see the adjustment swing.

On the clutch side, I shot just one pic of the CLOSEST setting. The adjuster swings away from there for larger hands. I was wondering why....then I realized after compressing it a number of times, even properly adjusted, that you need at least that much action to engage and disengage the clutch properly. If it was closer to the handgrip, the clutch would drag.

So on the brake side it does bring it in about 1/4". Not sure that will be worth the effort. Thank you so much for doing the measurements. Once I get my wrap around handguards in and installed I'll see if these slightly shorter ones are needed rather than d-balling the stock ones. Take care and Happy Holidays!

Half inch total (2.25 to 2.75)...but again, to me it was more about trying to make the front brake work better (did it help? I'm not sure) and also, just the appearance. I think they do look very cool and the shorter, fatter levers feel good to the hand. I can really tell the difference where the adjusters set...but again, I have large-ish hands.

Sounds like just some shorter levers would do you just fine for what you're looking for.

Happy Holidays to you as well!

Sorry, I was talking about the difference from the OEM levers measured at about the same point you measured. I do like the way they look though and they don't cost that much!!!
